Kuala Lumpur, Malaysia — A recent law enforcement operation conducted across seven locations in the Klang Valley on 22 August 2025 resulted in the seizure of illicit substances, including over 3 kilograms of MDMA, 7.6 litres of MDMA in cartridge form, and 39 litres of MDMA liquid. Nine individuals were detained, alongside the confiscation of luxury items and cash valued at approximately RM1.5 million.
During a police press briefing, e-liquid bottles resembling Kristal were displayed among the contraband. These items are not authentic Kardinal products.
Kristal products have never been involved in any form of drug-related activity. The e-liquid packaging shown during the seizure consists of unauthorized counterfeits, bearing resemblance to Kristal products but not reflecting authentic design or formulations.
The exploitation of vape products for narcotics distribution is a criminal act that endangers public safety, undermines consumer trust, and misappropriates brand identity. Kardinal has lodged a police report and is currently working with the Commercial Crime Investigation Department (IPD) to support ongoing investigations and enforcement efforts.
